A large void was encountered behind the granite facing of the scarp walls enclosing Fort Wood at the base of the Statue of Liberty in addition to voided bed joints between the stone units.
Due to the empty spaces behind the facing stones, the voided bed joints were filled with VoidSpan PHLc70 grout that was contained within custom Lozenge shaped “pillow anchors” that were produced by Cintec.

The cavity behind the outer stone face was later filled with approximately 24,000 lbs. of VoidSpan Gravity Feed Grout.
