Injection Grout
VS Anchors

The 15-foot diameter rose window on the City Hall’s south elevation was in a state of disrepair and needed to be partially rebuilt. The issue was that its sandstone tracery provided direct structural support to the brick masonry above it and needed to be removed and replaced.

Rather that installing an elaborate shoring system 60+ feet off the ground, the brick masonry was pinned in a fan-like pattern with VoidSpan Port Anchors and the gaps between wythes were filled with VoidSpan PHLc70 grout in order to make the horizontally coursed brick masonry act like an arch and support itself while the tracery was removed and replaced.
